Are We Delicious? Ensemble Theatre
It's spring break week in Madison, and there are opportunities for vacation learning and laughing with Healthy Habits Week at the Madison Children's Museum, and Are We Delicious? Ensemble Theatre at the Bartell. The calendar also includes: an Alzheimer's Association benefit concert with the Randy Boys, as well as more live music from Kyle Henderson, Chelsea Light Moving, Briar Rabbit, I:Scintilla, and The Motet.

Madison Children's Museum, through March 29
The museum offers a week's worth of activities for kids on spring break, with an emphasis on health. There will be displays, games and, on Wednesday, a meet-and-greet with safety mascot Crash Helmet (10 am-noon).

The local troupe writes, rehearses and performs a show in one week, hoping to strike sparks with the tight deadline. This production includes such notable local names as Marcy Weiland, Matt Sloan and Jessica Witham.

Alzheimer's Association Benefit featuring the Randy Boys

To raise money for Alzheimer's disease research, the bizarro alter ego of local folk-pop band PHOX will deliver a performance to remember. Expect lots of humorous antics, including a set of improvised songs.

The '80s power-pop sensation turned modern blues artist will share some of his latest material at this free event.
High Noon Saloon, 8 pm
Sonic Youth may never rock again now that founders Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore have split, but there's a way to fall in love with Moore's wild guitar effects and cryptic lyrics all over again. Watch his newest group perform songs from their self-titled debut album (see Tour Stop). With Cave.
Rigby, 9 pm
This Chicago artist takes pride in his music's intellectual lyrics, going so far as to call its genre "thought-pop." His 2012 EP, The Great Routine, tells the story of a fictional black actor who performs in minstrel shows.
Inferno, 9 pm
This post-industrial band from Chicago can say they're big in Germany, having broken into the Deutsche Alternative Chart's top 20 at least twice in the past few years. With Go Fight and Goodnight Criminals.
Majestic Theatre, 9:30 pm
This funky nine-piece started exploring the jamtronica frontier more than a decade ago by mixing jazz, Afrobeat and samba melodies with techno beats. With the Grasshoppers.
