On tap: Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band (featuring Dr. John, Billy Preston, Joe Walsh, Clarence Clemons, Nils Lofgren, Levon Helm and Rick Danko); Lou Reed & Elvis Costello, with Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians and Cowboy Junkies; R.E.M.; Ozzy Osbourne; Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble; Bon Jovi with Bad English; the Who (playing three consecutive nights); Grateful Dead (also playing three nights); and the Jerry Garcia Band. Alpine Valley later adds Jefferson Airplane, Stevie Nicks and the Rolling Stones. This year's lineup includes the Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay and Jimmy Buffett.
