I gotta give the Democrats props on their most recent press releases. There's nothing better than making fun of an opponent for being a straight-up loser. Prom King Mike Tate said the following:
"I'm not surprised that Mr. Wall doesn't want people to know he has been rejected by voters who know him best three times, but the fact that he can't shoot straight about it and chooses to mislead people about it should serve as a wake-up call to voters across Wisconsin."
OK, Terry's not the coolest cat on the block. But he's rich. That's gotta mean something, right? Maybe, but if Tommy Thompson enters the race, he'd be facing somebody who's rich and popular. And if Dick Leinenkugel comes to the party, he'll assumedly have tons of free beer for everyone. You can't beat that. But Wall knows good ol fashioned political chivalry:
"I'd like to welcome Secretary Leinenkugel to the race and to our party," Wall said in a statement. "As I've campaigned around Wisconsin for the last five months, I've heard from thousands of people who are concerned about Wisconsin's ailing economy and all of the jobs lost in the last two years. I'm looking forward to a vigorous campaign that focuses on how to turn our state and country around after years of mismanagement."
Notice the "welcome to our party." Pretty clear signal to GOP primary voters that the guy's a poser. And then the discussion of the "mismanaged economy" is a clear indication that Leinenkugel is partly responsible for the bad economy.
