"A pair of eagles, vacationing in Madison for the winter, perch themselves on a tree in the yard next to mine," writes Darcy in the caption to another photo that zooms in on the birds seen in the above shot focusing upon a frozen Lake Monona scene. "Hmmm...," she asks, "are they eye-spying the ice-fishers or the potential for fresh fish through the hole they just drilled in the ice?"
