Today's image is titled "Fallou Dieng moves the crowd at La Fête de Marquette" and was photographed by Kristian Knutsen.

The brick-walled hideaway between the Madison Enterprise Center and an old industrial complex sprawling along East Washington Avenue pulsed with life La Fête de Marquette reached its apogee on Saturday with a headline set by Fallou Dieng. The mbalax dance master from Dakar and his kinetic backing band energized the crowds under the stars on the penultimate night of the festival.

More photos of the group's performance is captured in a photo gallery by Phil Ejercito that also captures shots of Dengue Fever, as well as a photo essay by Nataraj Hauser that features images of the Friday night headliner Dobet Gnahore. "Relentless yes," declared Hauser in agreement with the description of Dieng and his music provided by festival organizers. "And he and his fellow musicians were showmen as well, working the crowd with humor and charm."
