Today's image is titled Mad City Ski Team and was photographed by Michael Leland.

The Mad City Ski Team held its penultimate home show of the summer on Sunday evening, wowing the audience gathered along the shores of Lake Monona at Law Park and Monona Terrace. This exhibition came a month after its win at the 2008 Wisconsin State Waterski Show Tournament, and just two weeks after its crowning as the 2008 National Show Ski Champions at Lake Wazeecha in Wisconsin Rapids, a performance that is available online for viewing. Both were familiar positions for the team, though, as these were the team's third consecutive state and national titles, as well as its fourth in each over the last five years.

This shot of the team skiing as a 22-person pyramid is one of several captured by Leland at the home show -- more can be viewed here, here, here, and here. Labor Day weekend marks the last chance to catch the team in action this summer, with its final home show starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 31 in front of Law Park.
