Today's image is titled Art from the Inferno was photographed by Alleen Hager.
"Metal and glass do require a lot of heat to work into art," notes Hager in the caption of this photo. "But in this case I mean the Inferno nightclub. I took this picture of a partial detail of a wall wide installed piece at the club. I asked the bartender who it was by -- he said an artist named 'Fritz.' Then I noticed the Isthmus listing for the one day 'Convergent Evolution' show by Fritz Schomburg glass works at the Inferno."
Held for one day only on Tuesday, December 16, the show featured glass creations inspired by cellular frameworks and other microscopic biological structures. More of his work is displayed by PRISM Contemporary Glass of Chicago.
