You be the judge!
Voting opened last Thursday for the Madison's Favorites poll, the annual Isthmus survey on your favorite people, places and things around Madison -- and a few of your pet peeves, too.
As in previous years, there are just under 100 favorites in seven areas -- Arts & Entertainment, Eats, Drinks, Shopping, Recreation & Fitness, Multimedia, and Odds & Ends. Every year we make a few changes in the categories, to change with the changing times. So don't be upset if you don't see the blank for your favorite favorite category this year. Nothing is forever! And for those of you waiting for categories like favorite bait shop or favorite local poet will just have to keep waiting.
The polls will remain open for Madison's Favorites for one more week, closing at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. Obviously, if you're reading this, you're already online, so vote here, too. You are required to register to vote.
It's also possible to submit a paper version that can be found in last week's edition of Isthmus. The same deadline holds in this case too, though -- ballots must be received or postmarked by Thursday, June 18.
To be valid, ballots must have at least 20 categories filled in. Your responses will be tallied after the polls close, and the winners will be published in the Annual Manual at the end of the summer. As a thank-you for voting for Madison's Favorites, you're invited to Madison's Favorite Block Party on Saturday, August 29 along King Street.
