Are you insanely bored and tired of that same sitcom rerun? Simply turn off the television and check out Isthmus promotions to win tickets to show headed to town and other free fun. This week, we're featuring tickets to two concerts, a CD, and an on-stage comedy.

  • If Neil Young and James Taylor are in your album collection, then you will want to enter to win a free CD autographed by Amos Lee. He is bringing his unique brand of folk-soul music to the High Noon Saloon in Madison on Friday, Nov. 17, in support of his new album Supply And Demand. Enter here to win!
  • Get ready to headbang holiday-style! It's time to rock out this season to an awesome 60-piece orchestra accompanied with a very boisterous choir. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra is performing in Madison on Sunday, Nov. 19 with two shows at the Coliseum; one at 3:00 p.m. and a second 7:30 p.m. Win tickets here!
  • Who says you need more than two people to start a band? The Black Keys certainly didn't, and you have a chance to see them when they play at the Majestic on Monday, Nov. 27. Win tickets here!
  • Everyone has been on a bad date. Some are just downright depressing. But others are really funny to hear about, particularly if the date is portrayed on stage! The Madison Rep is producing Bad Dates, a comedy in which a woman shares her continued quest for love in a story involving Romanian mobsters, bone-headed Texas husbands, teenage daughters, a bug-loving Buddhist, and 600 pairs of shoes. The Isthmus previews for the performance are on Wednesday, Nov. 29 and Thursday, Nov. 30. Win tickets here!

After the last Isthmus "Pint & Policy" forum (about the relationship between Madison and Milwaukee) generated so much discussion, we thought it was time to put together another one. Buy a beer for you and your friends, and join Isthmus for its latest "Pint & Policy" at the downtown Barriques Coffee Trader on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 7:00 p.m. The topic at this forum is Madison and its art scene: Is it getting too big for its own good? The gathering is free, except that is, for the two cents were are hoping you'll contribute to the discussion.

Don't forget to visit Isthmus promotions for updates on upcoming events.
