Now is not the time to become discouraged by the sun's disappearance in the late afternoon. Late November bristles with activity in Madison, and of course, Isthmus is more than happy to guide you to the events where everyone can have some fun. So forget about the 4:36 p.m. sunsets and get out!
This week, we're featuring tickets to one concert, and two stage comedies.
- Some bands only require drums and a guitar to rock out. The Black Keys certainly didn't, and you have a chance to see them when they play at the Majestic on Monday, Nov. 27. Win tickets here!
- We've all been on bad dates. They can be down right terrible or something to look back on and laugh. But others are really funny to hear about, particularly if the date is portrayed on stage! The Madison Rep is producing Bad Dates, a comedy in which a woman shares her continued quest for love in a story involving Romanian mobsters, bone-headed Texas husbands, teenage daughters, a bug-loving Buddhist, and 600 pairs of shoes. The Isthmus previews for the performance are on Wednesday, Nov. 29 and Thursday, Nov. 30. Win tickets here!
- Nuns -- stereotyped for wielding large wooden paddles to intimidate private school students everywhere. Who actually thought they had a sense of humor? The Sister's Christmas Catechism will be on stage at the Majestic Theatre through the heart of December, with free tickets available for the evening show on Tuesday, Dec. 12. Win tickets here!
