Scottish music sensation Paolo Nutini rolled into Madison on Saturday night, playing to a packed room at the Annex.
As previewed in this week's edition of Isthmus, the newly minted star follows his stop here with an invasion of New York, playing morning and late-night shows in support of the American release of his album These Streets.
"Here's the short version of what's behind all the hype," writes Rich Albertoni in the preview. "Thousands of women think Nutini is drop-dead gorgeous. Onstage he oozes charisma and sex appeal. He can sing and play guitar. And his songs are pretty good, even by standards higher than Tiger Beat.
Nutini's show at the Annex was well-documented in video form by his swelling fandom. These videos begin with a clip of Nutini performing his European hit "Last Request."
