Springtime fun, end-of-semester nightlife, and life after The Profits in the May 4 issue of Isthmus

What can you find in this week's Isthmus? Highlights from the latest issue follow:

  • Finally, it's spring out (or is it summer already?), and our cover story this week, part of our monthly Kids & Parents supplement, deals with the growing ignorance that young people have of the great outdoors. Can our schools do a better job of educating kids about Ma Nature?

  • Speaking of nature treks, our Kenneth Burns tours the State Street bar scene in search of weekend nightlife -- and finds a young man in an orange toga.

  • In music, Rich Albertoni interviews John Paul Roney and learns if there's life after The Profits. Yes! Roney's new band, We the Living, is poised to sign a major label contract, but Roney still regrets his unhappy split from his old songwriting bud, Mike Droho.

  • What's more... Tom Laskin tours the spiffy new digs of Sundance Cinema 608 and is suitably impressed, while hard-to-please Raphael Kadushin has a kind word for Inka Heritage, the new Peruvian restaurant on Park Street.
