No question. The Motorz know their sources inside out. Thank God they're good ones.
"Can You Feel It Tonight" leads off All Night Long, the second of two new CDs the guitar-rock epicures have just released. (Naturally, the first is All Day Long.) It's about a poor, no account rock 'n' roller getting off on his one true love (uh, that would be rock 'n' roll), and asking all of his auditors to get off along with him.
No, it's not a complex topic, and the music that pumps it up is straight out of the '70s arena-rock songbook. But the guitars are big, the beat is perfectly elemental and chief tunesmith/vocalist Kyle Motor absolutely nails the sweet desperation of the rock 'n' roll-addicted teen rebel. Half ecstatic, half tragic, "Can You Feel It Tonight" is so dead-on it hurts. And there's a whole lot more where it came from.
Viva la Motorz!
