Today's image is titled Strawberry Picking and was photographed by Emily Mills.
This photo shows a box of strawberries picked at Carandale Farm in Oregon, which offers pick-your-own fruits and vegetables over the summer and autumn. Their offerings include strawberries, raspberries, grapes, apples and pumpkins and other gourds. The farm describes itself as the "largest and longest-established" operation of its type in the region, and is located just north of County Road A on the southern edge of Dane County.
Mills published a 27-photo gallery of a recent Sunday afternoon outing to Carandale, one of several pick-your-own berry farms in the area. Others include Appleberry Farm in Cross Plains, Eplegaarden in Fitchburg, and the JenEhr Family Farm in Sun Prairie.
