Isthmus will be taking over the 100 block of East Main Street on Saturday night for the 2007 edition of Madison's Favorite Block Party. Starting at 7 p.m. and running through midnight, the party provides a sneak peek at the winners of the Madison's Favorites readers polls, which will be officially announced in the Annual Manual on Thursday, August 23.
This free outdoor party begins with mingling on the sidewalks and street, with drinks and eats provided by The Argus, The Local Tavern, Restaurant Muramoto, Maduro, and of course, Madison's Favorite Beer for this year. The fun will really get going with music from two of Madison's favorite bands -- Pupy Costello & His Big City Honky Tonk and Kali Kalor -- who will be taking the stage at the corner of King and Main.
Nearby street parking is available along with spaces in the Brayton, Government East and Capital Square North city parking ramps. For a look at the fun last year, there are more than 30 photos available for viewing.
Madison's Favorite Block Party is sponsored by Isthmus and Family Centers, Inc.
