On the last weekend of autumn featuring a live outdoor concert at the Memorial Union terrace, the UW's Students for Tammy Baldwin held a campaign event featuring music from the Motor Primitives, a local band led by Pam Barrett that play's hypen-free rock. A brief segment of their performance was captured posterity on video, one of only a "few movies made of a live Motor Primitives show," Barrett writes. Wis-Kino leads with scares at its Halloween screening

One of the highest-interest and best-attended Wis-Kino screenings every year -- outside of its biannual 48-hour Kabarets -- is its pre-Halloween show. While the themes of other screening change from month to month, the October round of five-minute films has the same theme every year: Scary/Halloween. If you weren't at the Kohl Center on Halloween, you missed a helluva show by Bob Dylan and the Foo Fighters. I was lucky enough to get tickets not too long before the show, thrilled to be able see Dylan for the first time after missing his concert with Willie Nelson at Warner Park back in the summer of 2004. The first live concert clip features Dylan performing "Like a Rolling Stone." This follows below, along with a second video and a mountain of commentary about the show. >More

How do students at the Madison Area Technical Collage (MATC) look at the facilities at their school, particularly the larger Truax campus on the city's north side? That question is addressed in a student video production formatted as a promotional spot for the college. The four-minute video follows below. >More
 Culture crash

Don't confuse this Sundance charmer with My Big Fat Mexican Debut, for its farcical scenes of high hair and waltzes form a genial, light-comic prism for watching race, age, class and sexuality collide in one of America's most economically and ethnically complex cities. >More
