RSVP for Climbing Beyond Our Limits
St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Middleton 7337 Hubbard Ave. , Middleton, Wisconsin 55362
Mountaineer Lori Schneider became the first person with multiple sclerosis to climb Mt. Everest when she reached its peak in 2009. She will share her experiences of that accomplishment, as well as her successful summits of the highest peaks on each continent (known as the Seven Summits), during a presentation from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. on October 15 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton.
More than detailing a climbing adventure, “Climbing Beyond Our Limits” is Schneider’s narrative of her journey to move beyond an MS diagnosis and turn adversity into triumph. Her message is one of hope, leadership, faith and self-empowerment.
Space for the event is limited. Anyone wishing to attend is asked to R.S.V.P. to Steven Erickson from Thrivent Financial at 608-824-3511 or steven.erickson@thrivent.com by October 7. The event is free; donations will be accepted at the door for the National MS Society-Wisconsin Chapter and Middleton Outreach Ministry.
This event is being hosted by St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and is sponsored by Southern Wisconsin Thrivent Member Network.
