RSVP for Share Your Harvest Recognition Dinner
press release: Grace Episcopal Church Food Pantry will hold it’s fourth annual Share Your Harvest Fundraising Dinner on Friday, October 14, 2015, from 6-9pm at the Goodman Community Center, 149 Waubesa St., Madison. Tickets to the event are $75 or $600 for a table of eight, and $45 of each ticket purchase is tax deductible. Purchase tickets online at gracefoodpantry.weebly.com by 6pm, October 7. The event will include a buffet dinner provided by Metcalf’s Market, cash bar, live music by the Dave Stoler Jazz Duo, and silent auction.
Highlighting the event is a keynote address, “Unifying for Community Change,” presented by Stephen Marsh, pastor at Lake Edge Lutheran Church in Madison. Known for his dynamic and engaging speaking style, Pastor Stephen will present ideas on how we, as members of a shared community, can —and must— merge as allies in order to cultivate a commonwealth of brotherhood and equanimity. A passionate advocate for social justice, Pastor Marsh writes for The Lutheran magazine and was a lead writer for Rooted in the Gospel: An African-American Spiritual Experience. He has served parishes in Queens, NY, Chicago, IL, and Brooklyn, NY, and was an assistant and, later, the Bishop of the Southeast Michigan Synod in Detroit.
All proceeds from the Share Your Harvest dinner will benefit the Grace Food Pantry’s mission to feed over 450 area families each month, including 300 children.
