press release: On Sunday, March 20, First Unitarian Society pays tribute to anti-war artists of the early 20th Century.
The Society Choir will present Ralph Vaughan Williams’ powerful anti-war cantata, Dona Nobis Pacem. Guest soloists are soprano Heather Thorpe and baritone Paul Rowe. Madison Symphony Concermaster Emeritus, Tyrone Greive, will lead the string section which will be joined by organ, piano, harp and timpani. Music Director Dan Broner will conduct.
Works from anti-war artists from 1920s Germany will be exhibited.
Free and open to the public. Coffee and tea provided.
