WWII Victory Bikes
Sun Prairie Library 1350 Linnerud Drive, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin 53590
Join historian James Longhurst for an exploration of some of the forgotten history of the bicycle in WWII. The Victory Bike was a controversial and complicated rationing program to conserve strategic resources. It changed the way that Americans rode, but it's largely forgotten today. Like other bike battles, remembering these past moments of decision can change the way we think about biking in the present day.
