on Saturdays, a tradition they have been a part of since 1993. At the market, Sutter's Ridge Farm offers a selection of autumn favorites, including apples, garlic, pumpkins, gourds, and decorative corn. Its stand is located near the intersection of East Main Street and South Pinckney Street.
The Daily Page: You mentioned that Sutter's Ridge Farm was one of over 100 dairy farms in the area. How many are around today?
Julie Sutter: Only one still remains. There used to be two, but one of the farmers got too old and had to retire.
Do you have a recipe to share?
"15 Minutes of Peace" Smoothie
The recipe is: Frozen raspberries Plain yogurt Apple juice
Combine the raspberries, yogurt, and apple juice in any ratio you wish, and purée. Place the purée in a freezer-safe container and allow it to completely freeze. When ready to serve (or when you're ready for some peace and quiet) thaw the mix for 10-15 minutes until slightly soft and serve to children with a spoon. The purée will still be frozen enough to allow only a little bit to be scraped off at a time, and sweet enough to make them keep trying.
