One of the REAP Food Group's most popular fundraisers is Burgers & Brew, which showcases local meat and produce. This year's menu will include Moroccan Lamb Burger from Bunky's Café; 5-Star Chip & Dip Burger from Metcalfe's Market; grilled lamb burger with fried quail egg from Lombardino's; the Gusto Burger from the Weary Traveler; the Big Poppa (beef patty topped with a brat and stinky cheese) from L'Etoile; a PB & J burger from Alchemy Café; Red, White and Brew Burger from Fresco; Mighty Mushroom Burger from Jac's; a Pleasant Ridge Reserve-topped burger from Brasserie V; and a Limburger and lovage-topped burger from Sardine. Vegetarian-friendly "burgers" include a grilled tofu and asparagus version from Metcalfe's; grilled pepper, tomato and eggplant from Bunky's; and a BlueShroomburger from Willy Street Co-op. This makes it possible for vegetarians to fully participate in the event, which allows attendees three sandwiches, paired with 6-ounce (local) beer pours, for a $25 ticket.
