Let's Talk Pizza

Where are you eating and what do you think? What's opening, closing, succeeding, failing?

Let's Talk Pizza

Postby mock_talks » Thu Dec 16, 2010 12:56 pm

I want to order pizza for dinner tonight and am torn as to where I should go. I'll be driving from downtown through the Willy/Atwood area; I thought about La Rocca just because I absolutely love their pizza, but I was thinking about trying something that I haven't had before...which leaves me with Harmony. I have been there for other food, but never the pizza. I've looked and I don't see one review on here for their pizza...which leads me to believe nobody actually eats it. Help me out.

I eat two things at The Harmony, the walnut burger and the pizza. Not that other stuff isn't great but these are my favorites. I think the pizza's great and I would recommend it. So there you go, give it a shot.

Harmony has some really good pie. If you're continuing around the lake into Monona check out Rossi's. Very good hand-tossed cheese pizza, the closest I've found to the late(sob) Rozini's and Casa Bianca. The thin crust, however, is a bit light on the sauce for my taste. Order the hand-tossed cheese, fold it, and enjoy. They also offer a 30" pie-a beautiful thing.

All Madison Pizza sucks besides Brutta and Lombardinos. And I consider those more 'specialty' pizzas.

Greenbush pizza is awesome. Either you've never tried it, or there is something seriously wrong with your taste buds.

Its ok but its way over-priced. Again, more of a specialty pie.

I seldom go out for pizza, as tomatoes and I don't get along. So I make my own. Made one last night. I used a Boboli whole wheat thin crust with homemade pesto, chopped up portabellas, Italian sausage, onions, yellow bell pepper and olives topped with shredded mozzarella and provolone. Yummy.

I consider them more of a "specialty" freezer case grocery item.

They're not frozen but I smell what you're cooking.

Boboli crusts are not in the freezer case. Made in Italy, they are enclosed in a thick plastic wrap.
