I'm for once in agreement with Huckleby. Their beer sucked. Some of it was drinkable sure but almost everything I ever had there was a poor representation of the brewing style. Their Belgian White which does generally have a hint of lemon tasted like the poured in a bottle of Real Lemon right at the end. Similar problems with the rest of their brews. Their trappist Belgians were OK but I like pretty much all of those and compared to the Ale Asylum's recent offering JT's was incredibly inferior.

Maybe that's the case - I don't know about what equipment they had or anything like that, but I definitely recall having a Father's Day bock or three a while ago, and I remember it wasn't a guest tap. I also see on their website (who knows how old) that there's a few lagers in the mix: http://www.jtwhitneys.com/brewery/. I don't recall seeing any of those lately though, so maybe the lagers have been off the menu for some time.
Since this is a thread devoted to MADISON MUSIC! Perhaps some of you self appointed beer snobs could throw JTs some love for actually BOOKING LIVE MADISON MUSIC!!!! You may not think their beer is the greatest but damn it they actually paid decent money to book GOOD music.
