I thought it was destructive to come on here and throw mud. Why don't you extend these niceties to JT's brewmaster?

They are a business open to the public, I think product reviews are fair game. Personal swipes cross a line, in my opinion.

I'm not sure how saying their beer sucks isn't a personal shot at the brewmakers ability to make a quality pint. Slippery slope, indeed.

I'm for once in agreement with Huckleby. Their beer sucked. Some of it was drinkable sure but almost everything I ever had there was a poor representation of the brewing style. Their Belgian White which does generally have a hint of lemon tasted like the poured in a bottle of Real Lemon right at the end. Similar problems with the rest of their brews. Their trappist Belgians were OK but I like pretty much all of those and compared to the Ale Asylum's recent offering JT's was incredibly inferior.

JTs never made a lager, they don't have the equipment to do so.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. If you believe JTs ales sucked, so be it. FWIW, their brewmaster probably wouldn't care about your opinion, unless you are another brewmaster.

I am glad to see Great Dane picked up the MAMA event. I won't attend, I don't care for Great Dane's beers, cuz their beers suck! :)

Maybe that's the case - I don't know about what equipment they had or anything like that, but I definitely recall having a Father's Day bock or three a while ago, and I remember it wasn't a guest tap. I also see on their website (who knows how old) that there's a few lagers in the mix: http://www.jtwhitneys.com/brewery/. I don't recall seeing any of those lately though, so maybe the lagers have been off the menu for some time.

You may not think their beer is the greatest but damn it they actually paid decent money to book GOOD music.
