I saw a poster on the old Jenifer St Market inside billboard advertising a Memory Moog.

I regret I didn't buy it.

Thinking about starting a Kraftwerk cover band.

Any thoughts?

Anyone else with some good analog keyboards.

It's tempting, would be very odd.

You haven't lived till you've heard "Autobahn" in quad.

Here's a fun cover of "Radioactivity" by The Ukranians.

Pretty much all you'll need now is this: ... th-werk/en

If you're concerned about not being authentic enough, pretty much everything KW themselves does now is virtual. WHile they're famous for analog synths, they've always been on the bleeding edge. They were big FM and sample guys for Electric Cafe.

What you will need, though, is a red button down shirt and a lot of hair gel.

(*Almost* did KW for the Dane101 Halloween thing last year. Did Depeche Mode instead, because my German is horrible)

Boing, boom, tschak.

Oh, oh. I want to be Florian. :D

I saw them at The Rave a few years back and they pretty much used laptops. :/

But, they did have really cool video projections and robots of themselves. 8)

They just did an 8-day residency at the Tate Modern in London, with new 3d projections of their stuff (similar to their MOMA residency) that, judging by the reviews, was absolutely stellar. Although one reviewer in The Guardian complained that with such a comparatively intimate setting, you were a lot closer than usual to the actual members, and their skintight bodysuits don't leave anything to the imagination. Nuthin like seeing a 60-year-old "little Ralf" during a show.

We failed at getting into those Billy Barty-sized Sigmund suits for "KROFTWERK" years ago.
(old joke that should probably have been kept inside)

I passed on that 3D Kraftwerk book right when it came out, and dammit, I'll never be able to afford it now.
