No. it would decrease it because that would be fucking retarded.

Nobody here is a Phish phan? That kinda surprises me.

:D
Gotta love Phish, one of the best ever.

No I can concentrate on the music.

see, you understood it for a minute, but I'm afraid you lost it. Just focus on what you said right here.

Incorrect. Quality of music is not changed by the fabric surrounding a person's body.

If you are not a music purist and are more interested in visuals and all that stuff, that's fine. You like concerts for the show. I get it, I understand, I'm not bashing. Some people like music for other reasons than others.

But that does not effect the quality of music. Do not confuse the two. Image does not dictate audio. You can play the same few chords in the exact same manner whether you are wearing jeans, a suit, a dress, or nothing. Does not.

I absolutely understand that in the abstract, there is no relationship between music and visuals, including clothing. In practicality however, there is a relationship. If someone is wearing something stupid, chances are quite high that they will be playing shitty music. I've seen this over and over again and the few exceptions prove the rule.

That picture encapsulates some of the many problems with Phish.

Really? It just adds to my many problems with Phish.

Though, to be fair, the guy just standing there with the guitar looks like a fucking dork too. So maybe the lesson is attire doesn't make all that much difference when you already suck harder than every blow job ever administered within a 6-block radius of Times Square.

Well, I was trying to be nice about Phish's problems. And anyway, trying to delineate all of them for Phish phans would be like trying to explain to the republicant members of the House the many reasons why they are traitorous fucktards of the first order. And Phish is certainly less odious than those asshats; art appreciation is subjective, but the U.S. House of Representatives is wrong wrong wrong.

Really? The shittiest music I ever hear is motorcycle rock played by poorly-shaven middle-aged fucks with big guts in jeans and t-shirts (or bowling shirts).

There is no exception to this rule.

That's different. There will always be shitty music. Sometimes it's well-dressed, sometimes it's not. I'm saying that when I see a band setting up and they're dressed cluelessly or outrageously costumed, more often than not, their music is shitty.

No, I guess I don't care.

Paps could show up only in his grey hairs, let alone the shirt he got for free from the '97 CES, and I would be asking for more:

Wayne dresses like a Wayne.
I found myself wondering whether he's right-hand or left-hand dominant, or possibly ambidextrous.
Drummers (that play drumsets, not those marching band fools) get the free fashion pass on whatever sort of footwear/no-footwear they choose, right?
How many drummers does it take to move a piano?

Chili Peppers wore socks, then, not even socks. One is tempted to wonder if Iggy Pop owns a shirt... or pants that stay up.

Doesn't matter to me. Both make some great music.

But I think all acts would be better if they dressed like 70's ABBA.

Speaking of the Chili Peppers; never trust a band that spends a lot of time working out to be shirtless muscle guys. They'll be terrible AND they'll drop a "tender, sensitive ballad" on you, every time.

This video (conveniently one of my favorite bands of all time) portrays my feelings.

Who care how you look? Do you enjoy it? Is it quality? Then let your body spasm like you are having a seizure and rock out!
