Indeed it is! And he gets bashed with good cause.
Probably the biggest waste of talent in the '70s until Rod Stewart went disco.
That said, here's my list of good ones (noting that I don't think any of these qualify as great):
--Live And Let Die (stupid cover notwithstanding)
--Silly Love Songs (fuck you all, it's good)
--Hi, Hi, Hi
--Coming Up (Live) (avoid the studio version)
--Let Me Roll It (woulda been better by Lennon, though...)
--Maybe I'm Amazed (live version is preferable)
--Heart Of The Country
--Take It Away (not sure why, but I've always dug this one)
--Medicine Jar (to get yer Jimmy McCulloch fix on)
--Arrow Through Me (see Take It Away)
--The Back Seat Of My Car (I saved the best for last)
Pretty damn short list for such a monumental talent!
Oh, and don't be fooled by Rock Show - it's a sham.
One more thing: Minicat will probably be around shortly to tell you how great Wings were. Ignore him. More importantly, don't forget to bring me some Kenny Rogers to practice tonight.
