especially from bands that never really made it big.

Awesome. Very Deep Purple-ish. And that's no way to treat an organ at 4:10.

Just what the fuck is wrong with the audience? The band is on full throttle and they sit there dumbfounded until the very end.

I remember seeing the Boyzz way back when. I was underage but managed to get in a couple times to see them. Those were the days...

Nice, I've got their LP. Always wondered what they would be like live.

I've been conditioned to believe that's how it always is for a loud rockin' band.

The clip is from the '70s. If memory serves (and it increasingly no longer does) audiences of the time were invariably stoned, often on incredibly pleasant combinations of substances.

On a less successful night: "Goddamn it, where's the step ladder? The rider stipulates the STEP fucking LADDER on back of my bass rig!"

If you like live 70's music go see local band "V05". They are a 70's cover band: http://voh5.com/

Funny - I assumed you were talking about Humble Pie even before seeing the video. My personal faves are 30 Days in the Hole and Fool For a Pretty Face. Keel, possibly the worst hair band ever, covered the latter song. The song is so good that even their version is decent.

Good old Ruby Starr - a nice Wisconsin girl. Also, Jim Mangrum, the beta version of David Lee Roth.

And something you will all hate from Don Kirshner, but I like:
