Furthermore Oscura - A mexican lager merge with whole bean nigaraguan coffee (obtained from an all female growers co-op)... and I could just copy and paste the full description but the main point is:

This is the Best Wisconsin micro brew I've had in years.

I've been on the lookout for this for a couple of months now, but I never came across it. Does anyone know where it is stocked? Or did I miss the seasonal window on this one...

Yes, it's not terrible.
A good choice for those making their first foray into non-industrial beer.
Not something I'd recommend to an experienced beer-drinker, but worth trying.

Thanks for the information. I'll make my way to Whole Foods over the weekend and pick some up.

Just curious, what would you recommend for the more experienced?

This is an interesting comment. I've recomended this brew to numerous friends, both "experienced" and "inexperienced" beer drinkers alike. Everyone I know with more experience and knowledge of craft brews raves about it. The types that merely dabble with micros are the ones that don't tend to care for it. Can you recommend another coffee lager for the more experienced?

I don't know if I'm ready for caffeine in my beer. Sounds like a headache in the making to me.

I really don't think it has enough caffeine to worry about. However, I think it would be a great breakfast drink, paired perfectly with huevos rancheros.

I was just reading the Jenifer St. Market ad and see that they have Dark Horse Perkulator Coffee Doppelbock and Central Waters Coffee Stout. Has anyone tried either of these? Would love to try them but hate to buy a 6pk for horrible brew.
