Hopslam

Postby jlindsey22 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 6:06 pm

Hopslam is back but where can we find it on tap?

It used to be at Magnus but that closed. Anyone know where else it's on tap?

I don't think it's on anywhere yet. Places like Malt House and Dexter's tend to bring new good stuff out first, and I know at least Malt House doesn't have it yet.
I'll come back and let people know if I find it, but I suspect the question may be a week or two premature.

I remember last year's Hopslam release clearly-- well, as clearly as can be expected, it's Hopslam after all--because it was on my birthday (Jan 7) and Bell's threw a shindig at Maduro to commemorate the release. Good times and delicious beer. I'd check there first if history's any indication.

Its been on Dexters for about a week.
Just bought my first sixer of the year...$17 damn
I've always liked it a lot..but I guess these days I feel like spending my beer dollar differently. Lots of other DIPA's that are very good, at much lower price.

That's just fucking disgusting for the price of a six pack. I don't care how good it is, I would never ever pay that price. I like good beer but this is ridiculous.

Do you know what Dexter's charges for a pint of it?

Dexter's serves it in a snifter, not a pint glass. I forget the exact price, but it's around $4-5.

I'll report back as soon as I have one, but knowing their pricing pattern I'd bet a beer it's $5.50.

Dexter's is (or was) selling it for $5.50/snifter (12 oz pour??). I was there on Sunday for the Packer game and things started to get real hazy after the game sealing Sam Shields INT, but I believe they may have kicked that keg Sunday.

I'm either being a helpful contributer to the forum or I'm spreading false information in hopes that the Hopslam lasts longer for my own selfish enjoyment......I'm not sure if I even know which I'm being.

Yup, let's just remember that even though it's too expensive, it's also quite delicious. It's like two two-hearted ales in a 12-oz. bottle and I will do WHATEVER it takes to get me some of that.
