Bunny Green Toe

Love the new double/imperial IPA from Lake Louie. Better than their Kiss the Lips. Also love the name (from a Big Lebowski character). Hope it is a year around release.

I was impressed with it as well. I had a few on Father's Day with my dad. I like the different hop flavors this has compared to a standard IPA.

It's on tap at the Echo and I can confirm that it is delicious.

Oh man, I haven't been to the Echo in ages. Time for a trip back in time.

It's good stuff. Strong, yet not overpowering. Refreshing as well. I also hope Tom keeps it as a year-round offering.

Where can you get this retail? I looked at Woodman's last night, they had every other Lake Louie beer but not this one.

On a related note, has anyone tried the Mosquito Beach?

Thanks.

I bought a sixer for ten bucks at, of all places, the Seven Eleven on the corner of Regent and Randall. Don't know if they still have it in stock.

Thank you Henry. I will check there when I venture west this weekend.

I stopped by Trixie's after work to inquire. He said the first batch sold out within a week. There is a second batch in the works.

In the meantime...Ale Asylum Ballistic also featuring Amarillo hops.

I bought a six based on this thread. I then bought another. And another. I really like it.

Lake Louie to me, has always been aggressive. From the flavors to the alcohol, real in your face. I grew to dislike that in his other beers (sorry!-just my opinion man), but it really works for this one. It is a slap, but a good slap that makes you giddy instead of cry. Not too many others pull this off. It is unique and will make them famous.

I would be a greedy man and sell the whole bit, back story, pictures, dog, cat, everything to SABMiller and live in a mansion in Hawaii.

Had a sixer of this and it was good. That being said I prefer AA Ballistic in this "nearly" Imperial IPA class, the balance of huge hops and malt is seamless whereas the BGT seemed a bit disjointed and shout-y on my palate.

Alesmith IPA is by far my favorite, but at 6 bucks a bomber is only an occasional treat.
