Postby SombreroFallout » Fri Jul 06, 2007 12:18 pm

Ever click on an online photo to get a better look?

Most times, "Click to Enlarge" only increases the displayed image by a small proportion.

Isthmus' Daily Page photos don't enlarge at all when you click on em.

I guess my point is, what's the point?

The only thing worse than frustrating and limited interactivity is pointless interactive.

It's a function without a function. Make it better, or get rid of it.

Did you previously observe a large image that completely skewed the boundaries of a forum topic? This is to keep that from happening. It might reduce some things by a smaller percentage than others, but at least they all are reduced to the same width initially.
Now what we really need is a way to keep ridiculously large links from doing the same thing since there are some here that can't figure out how the [url] bbcode works.

I have been clicking on my paper and ink copy of the Isthmus for days and nothing's enlarging except my forearm muscles.

It doesn't sound like we're talking about the same thing. As is, it's a useless 'function,' which isn't to say it's helpful on other websites where the "enlargment" is minimal. Mostly, it wastes time and generate[d] a bit of frustration. Cardinal online sin.

Ha! a mis-click for a mal-function. I'd move it, but hey, can only do so much.

This is scary. I know 50% of the people posting on this thread, and I don't want to click and enlarge anything they have.
