KFC and TB

Postby blunt » Tue Jun 19, 2007 12:11 pm

No, this isn't about Andrew Speaker eating mashed potato bowls.
The last fast chain on State Street, Taco Bell, is shutting its doors................................
and opening as.............
Taco Bell/Kentucky Fried Chicken!
That's right: TWO! TWO! TWO JOINTS IN ONE!
Can I get a quesadilla made with those beakless no-feet fat clucks KFC does right?
Can I get a layer of guac in my KFC Bowl?

"Hey, a fish this fine belongs in a fish nugget-style chunklet."

Break out the condiment caulk gun, it's time to start injecting chicken breasts with sour cream right under the skin before frying.

Or are they "born" already-fried?

(blunt, I am feeling you today. keep on bringin' it!)

If they add a Long John Silver's to that mix, they'll have something glorious. And nauseating.

I didn't know they'd ever crammed more than two of their "concepts" into a single unit, but according to Yum Brands' Wikipedia article, there has been something nicknamed a "KenTaco Hut."

I'm trying hard not to imagine the olfactory experience of walking into that fast-food mashup. And that goes double for the one Learned just proposed.

I went to one of those on I-94 once but it was a KFC A&W which seemed even stranger than the KFCTB combo, which I'd seen all over in Chicago

Nicely done.

That is awesome though, because now making a Chicken Smiley is one-stop shopping.

All combos of these exist:
KFC, TB, Pizza Hut, A&W, and LJS

I think Pepsi owns em' all, here's the SNL TB parody (sans sound):

The pizza, blueberry pancake, deep frying makes it so good...

Pepsi used to own KFC, Bell and Hut. Ten years ago, they spun them off into a separate company, the wrechedly named Tricon Global Restaurants.

When they decided to expand beyond the three chains (the Tri-), they adopted the even more wretched name of Yum! Brands, Inc., after their stock ticker symbol.

They obviously still have close ties to Pepsi, as you'd be hard put to find a Coke fountain in any of them. But I'm not sure how much ownership Pepsi has of the company.

First of all, this thread must be linked with the current discussion. It's like kismet.

Secondly, why would you want to watch the Taco Town video without sound? You can't beat the sound of vegetarian spicy chili being poured into a tote.

Same sound my brain is making as it conjures up images of Catfish Fat Bowls.

Actually, I used to be a national mystery shopper for this company. Pepsico spun off the food joints into a company called Tri-Com. They became Yum! recently with the acquisition of A&W and LJS.

I actually could really go for one of those Chicken Slop Lard Bowls right about now..."I'll have the taco topper instead of the biscuit"...
