I don't know if it still is, but at one time the InnTowner was owned by the Diocese of Madison. The original owners, the Fiore family and it's last living survivor, Fr. Fiore willed the Fiore company to the Diocese of Madison so they inherited it when he died. Francie's is named after Fr. Fiore's mother.

According to the city assessor's office, the owner is:

FRANCORP, INC
% FIORE COMPANIES
150 E GILMAN ST STE 1600

Those may be the owners of Francie's, but there is a manager who is the cause of most of the grief from what I have been told. I think that particular person has been there for quite awhile.

You need to dig a little deeper. Who is the owner of Francorp d/b/a Fiore Companies? I'm not pettling b/s on this one.

Who's the owner? I don't know, but this doesn't look like the Catholic Church.

Like I said, I don't know if they still are, but I do know that Fr. Fiore was the sole heir of Fiore Company and he left his estate to the Diocese. Also, the Francorp link you posted Henry is not related to the Fiore company, the name Francorp is a derivative of Fancine Fiore, Fr Fiore's mother who Francie's resturant is also named after. If you don't believe me, stop in for breakfast this week and ask someone there who the place is named after and you will probably get the whole story.
