Is this really going to start at 9?

I am allowing myself to be at the Klinic on a school night for more than 3 hours, so I need to time this right to see all the bands.

Actually, we're all going to play at the same time.

Except for Optometri keyboardist Ivan Ivanovich Ivanov, who can only play in 6/8 time. Tragic metronome accident as a youth.

Hey Supa! Could you be any Less descriptive and more Partisan?

From my veritable citadel of objectivity it went like this:

The Runners-Up continue to impress with well crafted guitar pop. Bob wielded the Harmony 12- string like the garage-god that he is and Alex continues to make a case for being the best drummer in Madison by always being on the beat and never putting a fillin out of place.
My only beef was that alot of the songs seemed to end the same way.

The Outtatoons set saw the swansong for Timbot. One hears that the band will soldier on as a 4-piece with Nate switching between guitar and keys. We hope that personal fave, heavy rocker "Capital I" will remain in the set list.

Optometri-"Bad Bob" (whats his stage name again?) continues to push the boundaries of tongue in cheek with this fun and tragic assortment of Russian Garage Rock. I couldn't hear what the Vibraphone like instrument or the keyboadist were up too over the guitars.
This would be good music to do shots of Stoli too, if I did such things...

Stage name? What is this about stage name? I am Yuri Mishkin on and off stage. My tongue is firmly attached to back of throat by some sort of flexible tissue, though on occasion it does visit inside of cheek, e.g. to investigate cold sore or dislodge piece of wayward food.

But yes, it was a grand event of wonderful bands performing highly provocative songs of rhythm and melody.
