Saw this in the Isthmus' print calander already, but I don't see it here. Come on out and show some love for our feisty friend at one of the area's most beloved non-smoking establishments, The High Noon Saloon.
Seriously though, much respect to Mr. Blues who took over ownership of The Anchor Inn and gave our ailing music scene a much needed booster shot in the ass after the tragic loss of O'Cayz Corral. Whether you love him or hate him, it's hard to deny that the music scene owes a debt to Blues. His tenacity and inability to accept any bullshit kept that bar alive well past the expected expiration date. He fought a loosing battle head on for the benefit of local rock, and for that I am eternally impressed and thankful. Those who have witnessed Shotdown, The Drunk Drivers, or any of the area's up-and-coming acts of the time on his stage knows exactly what I'm talking about. Infamy.
Mr. Blues benefit show, featuring:
The Skintones - Rock scene veterans
Straight to Audio - Rock scene problems

Come on out, and raise a can of Pabst in honor of our friend.
