Saturday, June 23, High Noon Saloon 9:30pm-close
Pupy Costello & His Big City Honky Tonk, Uncle Leon and the Alibis, Brainerd, and Tinderbox!
Never known for making the best decisions, we, [PCBCHT], have worked very hard to come up with the latest in our series of the world's greatest worst ideas. That's right folks, two, count 'em TWO shows in one night. Yes, what could be worse than hardly making it through one show? Well hardly making it through two of course! Four hours of beer swilling outside at Dukes of Hazzard night with the Madison Mallards followed by a late night appearance at the High Noon Saloon to kick it with our brethren on skates, the Mad Rollin' Dolls at their after match party. If you were at our last Mad Rollin' gig, which occured under somewhat similar circumstances, you may recall Pupy and the boys "starting a new band" part way through the set. That band, Tinderbox, with Kyle Motorz on drums, went on to rage through one full on improvised metal masterpiece before breaking up. "We Must Amputate" is now the rarest of all bootlegs. And Pupy pulled and filed numerous notes in and out of his navel throughout the show. Entertaining it was. Sober, um, not so much. The Dolls really bring out the best in us. And put up with the worst.
So, with the bar set that high, the boys aim to one-up that show, this saturday at the high noon saloon. Kicking off the show will be local rockers Brainerd, followed by the trash-punk-country of Uncle Leon and the Alibis (all the way from NYC).
Come for the whole event! It's Dukes of Hazzard night at the Duck Pond, and they will be giving out soft baseballs which you can throw at us.
Transportation and fill in band members (as needed) provided by The Motorz
