7/5 HNS SHAZY HADE/ SALTSHAKERS/ THE ARGE

Postby spacetiki » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:14 am

Thu. July 5 High Noon Saloon presents

Shazy Hade
The Salt Shakers
The Arge

9:00 PM / $5 cover 21 AND UP

Shazy Hade combines infectious songwriting reminiscent of Bob Pollard, Neil Young, and Harry Nilsson with a warm and comforting back drop of guitar, organ, bass and drums--along with more than just a little RAWK. Formed from the ashes of two well-known Madison bands, Shazy Hade is basically the band Hum Machine backing frontman Shinky, formerly of the New Recruits. The Salt Shakers, from Milwaukee, will play a straight-ahead set combining elements of powerpop and roots rock. Locals The Arge will open the show, almost guaranteed to put a smile on your face as they play rock music the way it's meant to be played: Loud, sweaty, heart on the sleeve and tongue in cheek.*

I saw a copy of the Shazy Hade LP yesterday. Looks awesome. Can't wait to throw it on the turntable!

This will be one of our last shows with Pete Newhall on bass as he is moving to Ireland soon. So Get in and wish him well.

Hmmm......

The band order has been manipulated since i last checked the high noon website! I guess were playing last now.

......Hmmmmmmmm.

since we get one rehearsal due to vacations, surprise announcements and trail hiking, I'm gonna make the band learn "Train In Vain" for the show. Seems apt. Thoughts?
