Buildings (Minneapolis)
Tyranny is Tyranny

More Information:
Minneapolis' Buildings channel The Jesus Lizard through 70s sleaze in a way that appeals to both jaded AmRep fans as well as the more adventurous hipsters. "Melt Cry Sleep" was released less than a month ago and is already garnering a lot of national press including PopMatters, Alarm Press, and Vice. Buildings play Madison as the last stop of a 10 day tour. http://buildingsband.bandcamp.com/

Madison's Romero headline, bringing stoner rock reminiscent of local heros Bongzilla. http://romero.bandcamp.com/

Opening the show is the debut performance of the United Sons of Toil post-metal side project Tyranny is Tyranny. http://tyrannyistyranny.com

Totally stoked to play with Buildings. http://buildingsband.bandcamp.com/

"...fit nice and snug between Hammerhead and Halo Of Flies on one of those Dope Guns comps AmRep used to crank out.” -- ThirdCoast Digest

Haven't played a first show in a long time. Stoked and terrified for Saturday. Tyranny Is Tyranny is me (Russell) and Jason from United Sons of Toil, however Jason is playing guitar. Our friend Ben is a monster on drums and our friend Dan has a Mohawk and a really long beard and he fucking headbangs. Tyranny still has plenty of AmRep goodness, but we've been influenced recently by bands mixing post-hardcore and post-metal, notably Cult of Luna and Fall of Efrafa.
