How can cultural elitists like ourselves put TV in the Culture category? Well, where the hell else is it going to fit?

I worship the triple dub!
The DVD's are out there.....
Jim West and Artemus Gordon taming the cheesy supernatural scifi west!
The archtypes are there, just like Star Trek:
Jim and Jim, macho lovestuds wielding weapons and beefhammers.
Artie and Spock, the artsy fartsy smartsy one that doesn't fight so much as do cool things to circumvent fighting. (Disguises, one-handed sleeper holds, etc)
Q and Dr. Miguelito Loveless, mad genius bet on world/universe domination.
Hot Earth Chicks and hot Space Chicks, both species getting he-man tongues rammed down their throats without so much as a blood test or mouth swab.

I find Robert Conrad's tight spandex sky blue stretchy pants obnoxious but cool, and Artie is so clever, although a bit fey, wouldn't ya say?
The James Bondian bombs in boot heels and Batmaniacal utility belts McGyver would have loved; the over-acting and melodrama; spaceships, ghosts, time machines----it's all great BUT:
the FIGHTS are thing. These are the most beautifully crafted fights anywhere. Face smacks sounding like slapping Hot Wheel tracks on cement, body punches sounding like bags of cabbage being hit with baseball bats.....mmmmmm.
Last night's episode: Dr. Loveless had mixed up an alchemical potion that looked strangely, oddly, like.....CRACK.
And then he rolled it up in a blunt to SMOKE.
"This, " he crowed evilly, "will make Mr. West small!"
WTF?
Is that what Steve Martin meant?
Sure enough, Jum puffed and immediately miniaturized and a tiny Mr. West rolled under doorways and outran a hungry cat--just like Land of the Giants!!!

And the music.
The ratatat snare drum is the key.
How simple and effective.
I would like snare drum playing whenever I sneak around, too.
