The 'new' Prisoner premiers on AMC

How can cultural elitists like ourselves put TV in the Culture category? Well, where the hell else is it going to fit?

The 'new' Prisoner premiers on AMC

The re-make of the 60s show 'The Prisoner' will premier Sunday, Nov. 15th on AMC.
Though I'm generally not a fan of re-makes, and especially something as classic as the Prisoner, I admit I'm really looking forward to this. The previews look very promising.

I should also mention that if you have Charter cable you can go to OnDemand>Primetime Free>AMC and there are some episodes of the original series from '67 along with behind the scenes of the new show.

For those unaware, this cult show is very trippy and surreal and a lot of fun to watch. The Wikepedia history:

This quote from the plot description sums it up well:

"The series features striking and often surreal storylines, and themes include hypnosis, hallucinogenic drug experiences, identity theft, mind control, dream manipulation, and various forms of social indoctrination. A major theme is individualism versus collectivism."
