Well, for McGuire's seat:
Andy Kraiss (PD-er)
David De Felice (Dem staffer for Sen. Spencer Coggs)
and some other Dem with a last name spelled something like: Zxefferlinnngger, or whatnot.

The last two seem like strong candidates.
Andy Kraiss ... nice kid, just not engaging?

What are the possible liberal pick-ups (especially in the city), besides McGuire?

Is Darold Lowe's seat likely to be lost to a conservative this time, since he's retiring?

Nah, not Joel.
Something more like Zingelwhiffer, or Zolofthoofer, or somethin'.

How in the hell do you even decide whom to log in as anymore? I'm sure there's a subtle difference in your head between Minty Fresh, Gnarly Buttons, Manny U., GodLovesYou, jjoyce, etc., but I'll be jiggered if I can figure it out.

Plus, as evidenced in this thread, it must be hell having to log in and out all the time. It was much easier with the old software.

It's Corey Finklemeyer. If you are going to make fun of the funny name, at least have the right funny name. Poor guy's gonna have enough trouble with name recogniton :?

Easy. If I want to cultivate anger, loathing and hatred, I log on as Daisy. When I want to attract people who are looking for a cute, well-endowed boy, I'm Chuck Schick.

Although I can't claim these other handles you cite as my own, I do have 'em figured out:

"Minty Fresh": Dru Sjodin

"Gnarly Buttons": Hmmm....a rather reckless John Adams reference. It's either Judy Olson, Stephanie Rearick or Scott McDonnell.

"Manny U.": Although posing as a boy, I suspect it's really a girl.

"GodLovesYou": Dave Cieslewicz and Jeanne Hoffman, smokin' weed and goofin' on conservatives

"jjoyce": Bob D'Angelo, walkin' around like he owns the joint

Be sure and attend the "Toss a Bleacher out of Camp Ran

Postby dimebag » Thu Dec 11, 2003 4:55 pm

"Be sure and attend the "Toss a Bleacher out of Camp Randall for Don Eggert" fundraiser."

Now that's funny. What's even funnier is that it's true. Isn't this the same guy that got busted for lying to the police too? Tried to pretend he was someone else so he would not get caught. Rumor has it that he was responsible for getting beer banned at Camp Randall.

And then there is this disorderly persons issue. What caused that? I'm sure it was not his fault.

He's also the same guy that had to be physically restrained at a Nader speaking engagement at the union? Yeah, he started yelling and screaming at Nader.

This is also the guy who has been fired from state government not once, but twice. How the fuck does that happen? It's not like he was laid off an' shit.

When should we start talking about chronic financial problems?

Iris is so quick to cast aspersion on one candidate only. Who really gives a shit about any of this.

Ahem ... someone ought to inform Don that Bert Zipperer won one of Don's county board wards (#53) in the Mayoral Primary -- kicked Cieslewicz's ass, as well as Soglin's.
So next time Don feels an urge to diss the Greens, he ought to take a chill pill.

Dimebag - Maybe your man Don did a lot of the things claimed, but he didn't get beer banned at Camp Randall. It's a Big Ten rule. The only time I saw legal beer at Camp Randall was during Packer exhibition games, and then it was only sold at concession stands. Overpriced, shitty beer in plastic cups. Ugh. (I still had a few as they played on hot August days.)

Threats of physical violence. Great.

I criticized his public record. I didn't get personal like some have here, or try to destroy him, personally.

Some of you people are a bit too vicious for my tastes.

Mr. Vilas, you are 100% right. I erred in believing that the bleecher incident was the cause of the beer ban. What the hell do I know, I lived in Chicago then.

The other claims, are of course, factual.
