Ald. King gets coiffed

Please limit discussion in this area to local and state politics.

Is Austin King's respectable new hairdo an improvement?

Poll ended at Wed Jan 14, 2004 4:55 pm

Yes, he now looks like someone who holds public office instead of the bassplayer from Molly Hatchett

No, if I wanted a yuppie alder I'd support Zach Brandon

Sadly, there goes a great deal of affordable housing for local head lice.

It's gone from movingly dismal to just dismal. Not exactly a banner day for the hair profession.

He may think he's "going clean for Dean", but he'll always be a stinkin' hippy to me :D

It's not just the hair... he wore a nice jacket to the council meeting last tuesday, like he wasn't content with slowly wading into yuppiedom and just dived in headfirst. I hear he might take a lobbying job with WMC.

Hope the minimum wage thing works out for him. WMC is reported to only pay what people are worth or the minimum wage, whichever is higher.

SELLOUT! This is a slippery slope, people. First he cuts his hair. Then, he wears a sportcoat. Before you know it the scraggly beard will be gone, he'll be carrying a briefcase, and he'll bathing regularly. Next is his ideals. My guess is we're about five years away from Austin being some lobbyist for WEAC, driving a Mini, working on his golf swing at the country club, and saying things like, "Man, I'm glad we have a liberal Governor like Jim Doyle. What a leader!"

A sad day.

Um...I don't think Austin would be interested in getting into anyones panties. Unless of course, you're talking about boxer briefs and the wearer shaves....his face!

Chet is a prophet.
I saw Austin walking the other day and his beard is now shaved thin and he was wearing an overcoat. Didn't notice if he was carrying a backpack or a briefcase, but I agree it is only a matter of time. How many years till we see him at the Volvo Dealership?

Note to Austin:
You don't get into these panties unless you're a rebel. (Oh, wait I'm not wearing any!)

When Brandon, Compton and Thomas start praising you, you know you're in trouble...

That he chose to donate his hair to a good cause is another example of what a good guy he is. And becuase of that, I'll excuse him for blatantly thieving my line.

You're welcome, Ald. King
