Wisconsin job figures for December are mixed:
Wisconsin lost 3,900 private-sector jobs in December to mark the sixth straight month of losses, the monthly report issued Thursday by the state Department of Workforce Development showed.
[...]
Still, the state's unemployment rate dropped from 7.3 percent to 7.1 percent for the month and was down from 7.5 percent the month before Walker took office. The unemployment rate is based on a different survey than the jobs number.

That's 62,415 new jobs Walker promised that would be created during his Gubernatorial administration by now.

62,415 new job positions.

I've heard a lot of people say that next year's budget is going to be a lot worse than this year's...

Will Walker take credit for any jobs created because of the recall?

Recalls are their own economic stimulus package

Jobs report spin is making us dizzy

What was that thing Mark Twain said about lies and statistics? Whatever it was, he must have been thinking about the job numbers released by the state's Department of Workforce Development.

The Walker administration is trying to put lipstick on a pig.

Job growth in Wisconsin was abysmal over the past year. It hasn't even come close to keeping up with population growth. At this rate, it would take nearly two decades for Walker's "250,000 new jobs" to appear ... and the state would be worse off than before, because its working-age population would have increased by much more.

Your next-door neighbors in Minnesota seem to be doing much better, both in terms of total number of jobs and the unemployment rate.

Walker is a failure, at everything except polarizing the state he's supposed to be leading. He's doing a great job at that.

How is Walker going to blame this on Obama when the rest of the country is turning the corner and finally recovering from The Great Bush Recession?

You can forget about jobs coming to Wisconsin for a long long time. We've shown our ass to the world - why would a business want to come here (or expand) when they won't know what the rules are going to be in the future?

May as well go anywhere else you can get a stable playing field.

So that's Walker's excuse. First it was the national economy but now that other states are adding jobs, it's the protests and recall. Weak.
