Hyperlinks, rrnate? Or are you the one bearing false witness?

Hmm. Blaska, rhetoric, hypocrisy.
Seems like I've heard these associations before.

I know enough not to expect too much, but I really thought you understood the concept of "name-calling". Time and again, you prove otherwise.

Now, honestly, don't let me interfere with your displays of intellectual prowess. Please continue to dazzle the crowd.

This thread ought to be aborted. Preferably soon, while it's still in its first trimester.

On second thought, never mind. The last couple pages suggest that a natural miscarriage is already in progress.

Jeremy, even rrnate has learned to debate an issue without name-calling. But you think you can call someone a "hypocrite" without providing any evidence to support your accusation.

Jeremy, you have not advanced this discussion one iota. I may not agree with kurt w but that's alright. At least he has a point of view and can express it. That just doesn't seem to be your thing.

Now, I'm going to agree with kurt w one more time:
"This thread ought to be aborted. Preferably soon, while it's still in its first trimester." Goodbye, Jeremy.

2) Two seconds later, when the infant (or "birth product" if that helps) is free of the birth canal, would you approve terminating that life. (You can use the word "murder" if you like.)
3) What is the difference?
4) Should abortion be "safe and rare?"
5) Why rare?
6) Do you agree with the Foron who likened the human fetus to a cancerous growth?

I was busy enjoying my weekend (Thanks again, Unions!)

1) Abortion should be free and legal, period.
2) no
3) a fetus is not a person
4) yes
5) Abortion is chosen due to unfortunate circumstances:
rape, incest, inability to care for a child, disease, medical condition of the mother, etc. Reducing any one of those circumstances would be an improvement to the human condition.
6) A fetus is not a tumor. A fetus has the same 'rights' as a tumor.

I'm with DCB on most items, including the union props. Here's where we diverge:

4) Safe: yes. Rare: only if unwanted pregnancies are rare, which should be our goal. But I have no moral problem with abortion as birth control. It's risky and inefficient as a long-term method... but then again, so's everything else. I've spent thousands of dollars on birth control over the past couple decades, possibly increased my risk of certain cancers, and certainly increased my risk of osteoporosis. Worth it, but ouch.

The unholy, liberal state of Mississippi has spoken.

It's time we quit making fun of them. They came through yesterday.
