I voted based on the assumption that the Dem candidate will be our next Governor, hence Barrett was a no-brainer.

Sorry Meade.

I will be voting for Barrett. And Falk's argument that Mayor Barrett "had his chance" is laughable. Barrett barely lost to Walker in a Republican landslide year and Falk handed the Republicans the AG office to them in a Democratic landslide year.

I'm undecided at this point. Both have good and bad points.

If those were the only choices I would vote for Barrett since he has a better chance of beating Walker. But I plan to cross over and vote for a Walker challenger on the Repub side like Arthur Kohl-Riggs. Try to knock out Walker in the primary.

What does backing the best candidate to beat Walker have do with hating women?

I went for Barrett because Falk foolishly tied herself to the unions so much that she has absolutely zero chance of beating Walker.

I'm voting for Vinehout. . . Falk destroyed her credibility by sacking Peg and then pulling a Palin. Barrett is actually proud that he "held Walker to 52%" by running a lackluster campaign and thinking that the same strategy will work again. I imagine if he wins the primary and holds Walker to 51% he will claim victory.

Barrett in the primary. I originally was planning on sitting out the recall completely as I'm still not 100% sold on the idea of using recalls to remove elected officials for purely policy matters. I'm starting to change my mind, and will probably vote Barrett in the general if he wins the primary. On the the other hand if Falk wins I'm not 100% sure I won't vote for Walker. Other than who's command they jump for I don't see much difference between the two, and Falk has already displayed an amazing ignorance of how state government works with her no budget plan.

Falk is the only candidate who is (rightfully) saying that the recall is about restoring collective bargaining rights for public employee unions. The uncomfortable truth for many Democrats is 1. they know that collective bargaining for public unions, as FDR pointed out, is, by its nature, corrupting, and 2. they don't like Kathleen Falk because she is female and so they are drawn to the bland, ineffectual (but male) Tom Barrett because he is part of the patriarchal Feingold-Kohl-Obey-Doyle-Cieslewicz party establishment. Barrett is all about being a big power-seeking male. Right or wrong, Kathleen Falk is about restoring statutory rights.
