Walker added $714,398,748 to Wisconsin's debt

Postby jonnygothispen » Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:39 pm

LFB report to Kathleen Vinehout: http://bdgrdemocracy.files.wordpress.co ... nehout.pdf

borrowed $558.3 million with an estimated $156 million in interest...

I wonder how long it will be before they erase this page too?

(edit: Replaced link with one that works)

It sure is hilarious to see all the leftists suddenly become concerned about government spending. If obamacare is found to be somehow legal, just wait until 2014 rolls around.

Back to your cut and paste thing.
It's a great thing then that Wi duly elected Gov. Walker and conservatives to be the majority so the state can shed the democrat economic decay and start the economic machine again, get jobs happening, "rich corporations" moving here to employ people, etc. and the end result is those long terms of borrowing (2030 in your link), it can be paid off early as the people of Wisconsin prosper with all their jobs and income.

I wonder how long it will be before they erase this page too?

 Yeah, it's all a plot to get, ah someone. Who is "they" again?

That's interesting since Obama's spending makes up 1/5th of the annual deficit, and Doyle reduced Tommy Thompson's debt by $500 million. Is this your first visit to planet Earth?

Cornbread's rambling posts are best ignored, but thanks for the LFB report. Very interesting.

Bump with functional link. Official figures from Wisconsin's Legislative Fiscal Bureau showing that Walker borrowed $558,275,756 in 2011 with $156,122,992 in added interest for a grand total of $714,398,748: http://bdgrdemocracy.files.wordpress.co ... nehout.pdf

Here's the break down of the cash we already owe in the coming years.

2012-13- $44.913 million
2013-14- $98.431 million
2014-15- $98.426 million
2015-16- $83.630 million
2016-17- $83.619 million

2018-19 62.206 million
2019-20 52.255 million
2020-21 41.777 million

2021-22 14,264,000
2022-23 10,726,000
2023-24 9,334,000
2024-25 5,715,000
2025-26 3,916,000

2026-27 3,914,000
2027-28 3,715,000
2028-29 2,982,000
2029-30 668,000
2030-31 472,500

And just for convenience, link showing Walker Admin. telling the Feds Wisconsin has a deficit and $3.02 billion debt for 2012/13, which is up from $2.7 billion when he took office: http://www.wha.org/Data/Sites/1/medicai ... -11-12.pdf
In the Budget in Brief that accompanied the Governor's 2011-13 budget message the administration projected that the GAAP deficit for the state would be $2.99 billion in 2011-12 and $3.02 billion in 2012-13.

Wisconsin's debt stood at $2.7 billion in October 2010 shortly before Walker took office: http://www.jsonline.com/business/105115159.html Paragraph 17 (Oct. 16, 2010)
“Doyle inherited a $3.2 billion deficit that now stands at $2.7 billion.”

Rethuglicans never cared about debt or deficits until January 20, 2009.

Holding Walker's feet to the fire is a little thing called accountability, that is making him take responsibility for his rampant hypocrisy and ineptitude.

And what "great things" do you expect Walker to accomplish? Let's go back to his record as Milwaukee County Executive: he did such a great job in that office attracting jobs that the City of Milwaukee is the fourth poorest city in America. Statistically speaking, the only reason Milwaukee County didn't finish dead last in health and economic well being is there's an Indian reservation up north that's even worse. Further, the fact that he did nothing about the abuses in the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex shows that compassion and accountability are foreign concepts to this man.

His recent performance has given us job growth that lags the rest of the nation though he promised economic growth in the form of 250,000 new jobs. He'll say that he did a great job as Milwaukee County Executive because Milwaukee barely beat out an Indian reservation that doesn't even have a stoplight in poverty and joblessness measures. He's bringing that very same thing to the rest of Wisconsin; proving he's the perfect storm of arrogance, ineptitude, and mediocrity

Just a note for those of you who don't know: Mr. Bread is not going to respond because he no longer graces this forum with his presence, at least in that particular food-based incarnation.
