"The ‘American Dream’ Is a Myth"

Postby jonnygothispen » Sun Jun 10, 2012 2:33 pm

Walker is doing locally what BU$H did Nationally. This stuff has never worked. http://finance.yahoo.com/blogs/daily-ti ... 38674.html
In the last 30 years the share of national income held by the top 1% of Americans has doubled; for to the top 0.1%, their share has tripled, he reports. Meanwhile, median incomes for American workers have stagnated.

... the status you're born into — whether rich or poor — is more likely to be the status of your adult life in America vs. any other advanced economy, including 'Old Europe'.
...8% of students at America's elite universities come from households in the bottom 50% of income,

...the provision in Medicare Part D which forbids the federal government from negotiating prices with the drug companies. Over 10 years, that rule will generate approximately $500 billion for the industry, he estimates, but no tangible benefit for taxpayers or the economy as a whole.

"What I (Joseph Stiglitz) want is a more dynamic economy and a fairer society," he says, suggesting income inequality is ultimately detrimental to those at the top, too. "My point is we've created an economy that is not in accord with the principles of the free market."

Yet another little more than cut and paste 'post' by cut and paste jonny? I guess he thinks we cannot read for ourselves.

With keen analysis like that, I see why the cut and paste method of thinking/analyzing is used in place of actual discussion/debate.

Leftists.....still bashing "BUSH"

Arrrrg Laddie, they is what they is!

Someone quick, hit the switch and let loose the clowns:

"What I (Joseph Stiglitz) want is a more dynamic economy and a fairer society," he says, suggesting income inequality...

And lock step with our avowed socialist president obama, leftists think a "fair society" is one of "income equality". Which always then begs the questions:

1. Why then are leftists so affluent and isolated/insulated?

2. Why don't leftists actually live with the poor the proclaim to champion?

3. Why don't leftists give up more of their profit (income) to those poor they refuse to live by?

"The problem with socialism is eventually you run out of other people's money".
