That protest slogan, "Scooter is a looter," was not an idle accusation. It was a recognition of his strategy from the outset.

Any Walker apologist want to defend this fiasco?

Wonder how much that is going to cost? I thought we were broke?

And Walker's trying to position himself to run for President in 2016?

Who's advising him? Karl Rove?

"It's hard to even imagine. This is a huge, huge mistake," Barca said.

Walker agreed, saying "that's why you see a change of staff."

It seems Walker would be a better candidate than Romney from the prespective of the rightwing. For one, Walker lies in a way that appears much more honest.

In terms of the rightwing wet dream of looting government, Walker is far more experienced. What Romney did to loot and ruin perfectly good businesses, Walker has perfected in the public sector. Romney couldn't ruin Massachusetts because that state had solid Democratic Party control over the legislative branch. Walker has no such problem now. He's going to give the state away to corporate interests, starting with the mining bill.

This nugget was buried in WEDC's latest report to its board. And when I say buried, I mean it's all the way at the end.

CONSULTING ENGAGEMENT MANAGEMENT

Issues Identified:
Consulting firm Titus, who was hired to help WEDC create the systems and processes necessary to ensure reliable financial reporting, was not properly managed, resulting in unclear project definitions and confusion among stakeholders.

Corrective Actions Taken:
Titus’ contract has been cancelled, and the company’s work product is being reviewed.

"Not properly managed" is just another way of saying "we fucked up."

If they don't keep track of the loans and they aren't repaid, then what do you call that, a win?

That's your own fantasy isn't it?

If they fix the system (which they are doing), track all the loans and get repaid, why do you call that a loss?

Let's get out of here

IF they fix the problem. Based on their track record, that is a mighty big IF.

Okay, so let me see if I understand.

There's millions of dollars unaccounted for.

But they don't count as losses because we're still looking for some of them, we plan to ask for some of them back, we plan to identify the specifics of the root cause, and then we plan to fix it.
