Some of the same players were at least tangentially involved in the caucus scandal from a decade ago.

Thanks to this investigation, we now know that this happened:
One of the emails presented by Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf involved a plot to divert attention away from the troubled Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex, which fell under Walker's supervision as county executive.

As an example of what she had in mind, Rindfleisch sent Gilkes a copy of a State Journal story "dee whatshername" wrote four months earlier involving a patient who was attacked by a fellow patient at Mendota.

'dee whatshername' is of course Dee Hall, the WSJ reporter who co-wrote the piece above. You may also remember Hall as the reporter who broke the caucus scandal, that sent Chvala to jail.

I guess Rindfleisch was too busy illegally campaigning on county time to read those stories.
